1. What is a 3M Gas and Vapour Filter?
3M Gas and Vapour Filter (6055 A2) is a bayonet-style cartridge designed to protect against organic vapours (boiling point > 65 °C). It is lightweight, low-resistance, CE approved, can be used in various settings including spray painting, adhesives, cleaning and solvent environments, and is popular in Saudi Arabia when used with 3M reusable respirators.
2.How often should I replace it?
Replace the filter when you can smell or taste the vapour, or according to your workplace exposure limits. Please do not use the filter after 6 months from opening.
3. Is it acceptable to use it for isocyanate paints?
Not recommended – check with just the air supplied respirator for isocyanates.
