1. What is a hand-operated siren with stand?
It functions as a manually cranked audible alarm device mounted to a floor stand than can produce a loud warning tone without an electrical power source. It is suitable for emergencies, outages and remote sites.
2. How does the manual siren work?
The user cranks a handle (or cranks) and internal gears create sound, in vibration through a diaphragm or resonator. Some models will have a shutter or tone selector, allowing you to switch the sound between a continuous signal and a “warble” signal.
3. Why did you choose a floor mounted stand?
The floor stand will give the siren a stable installation on the ground at floor level, maximising the projection of the sound and providing ease in placement compared to a wall or pole mounted siren for example. This is especially useful on a large flat site such as an industrial site.
